From November 1, 2026, Fourplex bills existing Ryzen VPS customers 33% to 43% more: a 4 GB plan goes from $12 to $16 a month, which is $48 more a year. OVHcloud has applied its new dedicated server prices to renewals of running Gen 2024 and Gen 2026 machines since October 1. The memory shortage that first raised prices for new orders is now reaching the invoices of servers that are already running.
Fourplex raises every Ryzen VPS plan, existing ones included
Fourplex announced the change on October 1. New orders moved to the new prices that day; existing services move on November 1. The company cites infrastructure costs driven in part by demand for AI and hyperscale capacity. A promotion you already have is applied on top of the new price, so it does not protect the old one.
| Plan | RAM | Old price | New price | Extra per year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VPS S | 1 GB | $3.50 | $5.00 | $18 |
| VPS M | 2 GB | $6.00 | $8.00 | $24 |
| VPS L | 4 GB | $12.00 | $16.00 | $48 |
| VPS XL | 8 GB | $24.00 | $32.00 | $96 |
| VPS 2XL | 16 GB | $48.00 | $64.00 | $192 |
| VPS 3XL | 32 GB | $96.00 | $128.00 | $384 |

OVHcloud renewals now follow the new server price
OVHcloud's August 17 update set October 1 as the date when new rates apply to servers already running, on each subscription's renewal date. It covers Advance (Gen 2024 and 2026), Game (Gen 2026), Scale and High Grade (Gen 2024 and 2026). The base configuration renews at the same price as an equivalent new server. Installed options get a softer scale: RAM rises 20% on Gen 2024 and 40% on Gen 2026, storage 10% and 15%. Kimsufi, So you Start, Rise and generations before Gen 2024 are not affected.
In money: an ADVANCE-1 Gen 2024 base server renews at €114.99 instead of €89.99, which is €300 more a year. OVHcloud's own example of the same server with 128 GB of RAM and 4 x 960 GB NVMe renews at €230.79 instead of €189.99 a month, €489.60 more a year. The Gen 2026 version of that build goes from €204.99 to €289.49, about €1,014 more a year. We covered the new-order side in OVHcloud raises server prices by up to 87%.
Not every host passes the increase to existing contracts
Leaseweb raised selected VPS packs by an average of 20% from August 1, 2026, but only for new contracts: existing ones auto-renew at the current price. netcup kept existing contracts on their old rates in its September round, as covered in netcup's price increase. RackNerd's specials page states that its VPS specials can be renewed at the same rate for as long as you keep the service. So the renewal policy is now as much a part of the price as the monthly figure.

Moving pays when the gap covers the migration time
A team with a hypothetical Fourplex VPS XL (8 GB) will pay $384 a year from November instead of $288. Plans with the same RAM in our catalog, checked October 25, 2026 (CPU and disk differ, so compare the full spec):
| Plan | RAM | Price per month |
|---|---|---|
| RackNerd KVM 4 GB | 4 GB | $5.00 ($59.99 billed yearly) |
| Ethernet Servers VPS 4 GB | 4 GB | $12.00 |
| DataPacket VServer 4 GB | 4 GB | $14.99 |
| Ethernet Servers VPS 8 GB | 8 GB | $24.00 |
| DataPacket VServer 8 GB | 8 GB | $24.99 |
On a 4 GB server the yearly gap is small, and a migration day can cost more than it saves. On 16 to 32 GB the extra $192 to $384 a year usually justifies the move. Full lists are on cheapest VPS with 4 GB RAM and cheapest VPS with 8 GB RAM.
Check three things before your next renewal
- The renewal price in your control panel, not the price on the order page.
- Whether prepaying locks the rate. OVHcloud says a prepaid subscription keeps the current rate for the period paid; on a monthly plan the new price applies at the next renewal.
- Whether you need the term at all. If prices may move again, monthly billing keeps the exit open: see VPS paid monthly, no prepayment. Other line items that grow on renewal are in what a server really costs.
