A low cost VPS in Europe starts at $3.99 a month in our catalog, and the $5 to $10 band holds nine plans with 1 to 4 GB of RAM in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London and other European cities. The cheapest gigabyte of memory in that band costs $2.50 (Hostman Cloud 4, 4 GB for $10.00), the dearest $6.33. All prices were checked on the providers' own pricing pages on November 1, 2026.
Nine European plans between $5 and $10, ranked by price
The table lists every European plan in our catalog from $5 to $10.19 a month that is priced in US dollars or euros. The "per GB" column divides the monthly price by the RAM, the fairest single number for comparing small servers.
| Plan | vCPU / RAM / disk | European cities | Price a month | Per GB of RAM | IPv4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| is*hosting Lite | 1 / 1 GB / 20 GB SSD | 22 European countries | $5.94 | $5.94 | included |
| Ethernet Servers VPS 2 GB | 1 / 2 GB / 80 GB SSD | Frankfurt or London | $6.00 | $3.00 | included |
| Truehost Cloud Starter | 1 / 2 GB / 50 GB SSD | Europe | $6.00 on a 36-month term | $3.00 | included |
| Fornex Cloud NVMe 1 | 1 / 1 GB / 10 GB NVMe | Frankfurt, Rotterdam, Falkenberg or Barcelona | €5.50 (about $6.33) | $6.33 | not stated |
| Hostman Cloud 3 | 2 / 2 GB / 60 GB NVMe | Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Helsinki or Paris | $7.00 | $3.50 | not in listed price |
| MassiveGRID Growth | 2 / 2 GB / 64 GB NVMe | London or Frankfurt | $7.98 | $3.99 | included |
| Fornex Cloud NVMe 2 | 1 / 2 GB / 20 GB NVMe | Frankfurt, Rotterdam, Falkenberg or Barcelona | €7.50 (about $8.64) | $4.32 | not stated |
| Hostman Cloud 4 | 2 / 4 GB / 80 GB NVMe | Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Helsinki or Paris | $10.00 | $2.50 | not in listed price |
| is*hosting Start | 2 / 2 GB / 30 GB SSD | 22 European countries | $10.19 | $5.10 | included |
Prices checked November 1, 2026. Below $5 there is one European plan: MassiveGRID Starter, 1 vCPU, 1 GB and 32 GB NVMe in London or Frankfurt for $3.99. The full list up to $15, cheapest first, is on the cheap VPS in Europe page.
2 GB of RAM in Europe costs from $6, and $3 per gigabyte is the floor
Three plans sell 2 GB at $3.00 to $3.50 per gigabyte: Ethernet Servers VPS 2 GB and Truehost Cloud Starter at $6.00, and Hostman Cloud 3 at $7.00. Over a year that is $72 to $84. At the other end, is*hosting Start charges $10.19 for the same 2 GB, $122.28 a year, and Fornex charges €7.50 for 2 GB with a single vCPU.
The two cheapest differ in how you pay. Ethernet Servers bills monthly. Truehost's $6.00 is the monthly equivalent of a 36-month term, $216 paid up front. If you are not sure the project will live three years, compare it with the monthly plans, not with the headline figure. Our cheapest 2 GB VPS list covers all regions.
A Telegram bot with a few thousand users runs on a $6 server in Frankfurt
A hypothetical bot that answers commands and keeps a small SQLite or Redis store uses well under 1 GB of RAM. A 1 GB plan would do, but in Europe the step from 1 GB to 2 GB is close to free: Ethernet Servers VPS 2 GB at $6.00 costs 6 cents more than is*hosting Lite (1 GB, $5.94), and it comes with 80 GB of disk, an IPv4 address and 5 TB of traffic. Our provider profile lists daily backups as included at Ethernet Servers.
For a bot, the second gigabyte buys room for logs, a webhook proxy and an update without swapping. More options by workload are on VPS for a Telegram bot.
One WordPress site with MySQL wants 2 vCPU and 2 GB: budget $7 to $8
WordPress, PHP-FPM and MySQL on one server fit in 2 GB for a site with moderate traffic, and the second vCPU keeps the admin panel responsive while the database works. Two European plans give 2 vCPU and 2 GB under $8: Hostman Cloud 3 at $7.00 with 60 GB NVMe, and MassiveGRID Growth at $7.98 with 64 GB NVMe.
Hostman also bills by the hour: its pricing page lists this configuration at $0.00956 an hour, so a staging copy that runs for 50 hours costs about $0.48. See VPS with hourly billing for other hosts that charge this way, and VPS for WordPress for sizing by traffic.
Not sure which size you need? The calculator picks plans by workload, budget and location in about a minute.
A small Postgres or MySQL database starts at $10 with 4 GB and NVMe
A database keeps its hot data in memory, so for a small production database 4 GB is the practical start and NVMe matters more than raw disk size. In this budget one plan qualifies: Hostman Cloud 4 with 2 vCPU, 4 GB and 80 GB NVMe for $10.00, which is also the lowest price per gigabyte in the table. Just above the band, Ethernet Servers VPS 4 GB costs $12.00 with 160 GB SSD in Frankfurt or London, and Fornex Cloud NVMe 4 costs €15.
A year of Hostman Cloud 4 is $120. Why memory weighs so heavily on database servers is covered in VPS for a database and the 4 GB RAM shortlist.
Picking a specific country costs about $4 a month extra
Most cheap European plans run in Germany, the Netherlands or the UK. If the project must sit in a particular country, for example to be close to users in Poland, Spain or the Nordics, the choice narrows. is*hosting offers 22 European countries, and its 2 GB plan costs $10.19 against $6.00 to $7.00 for 2 GB in Frankfurt, Amsterdam or London: about $4 a month, or $48 a year, for the choice of country. Fornex covers Spain (Barcelona) and Sweden (Falkenberg) from €5.50.
Inside Western Europe the latency difference between Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London is a few milliseconds, so pay for a country only when users or rules require it. The trade-off is explained in server location and latency, and all European options are on VPS in Europe.
IPv4, prepayment and backups decide the real monthly bill
The listed price is not always the bill. Check three lines before you order:
- IPv4 address. is*hosting, Ethernet Servers, Truehost and MassiveGRID plans are listed with an IPv4 address included. Hostman's cloud plans are listed in our catalog without one, and for Fornex it is not stated, so confirm the address price at checkout. What an extra address adds is in our IPv4 cost guide.
- Billing term. Truehost's $6.00 requires 36 months up front. The other plans in the table are monthly, and Hostman can be paid by the hour.
- Backups. Our provider profiles show backups available at Hostman, Fornex, is*hosting, Truehost and Ethernet Servers; at MassiveGRID built-in backups are not on every plan. Price the backup before comparing two servers.
VAT can also be added at checkout for private customers in the EU. Other costs that appear over a year are listed in what a server really costs.
